The Type 113 has a vertical filter chamber and vertical tubes. Influent enteres the cover area and is distributed downward through the tubes, where it passes through the tubes from the inside to the outside, depositing solids in the inner tube surfaces. The filter is cleaned manually, by removal and replacement of inexpensive liners wwithin each tube. Chambers are availabe in a variety of materials including steel, rubber-lined steel, staliness steel, or exotic alloys.
